WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION - 21 DECEMBER 2012
We were so lucky!   The 2/3 days prior to this were very windy and wet as was the weekend afterwards BUT that Friday morning was wonderful.   A perfect sunrise which raised everyone's spirits and as the sun rose higher it was warm enough to actually feel its warmth.  A thoroughly enjoyable celebration.

SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION - 20 JUNE 2012
A beautiful sunny morning greeted about 25 group members and visitors to share qigong and tai chi on the beach on what some participants voted the best ever.  After a good loosen up and breathing exercises we went through Wu Qin Xi (5 animal play) and the 18 Qigongs finishing with Tai Chi 24 Forms and the Mountain top form.    After some stretches and a final explosive energy "shout" some folk stayed to share coffee or our traditional ginger drink and a good chat whilst others took their good feelings off to enjoy the rest of the day.   Photos  on the photo page .

CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 2012
Monday 23rd January - welcomed the Year of the Dragon. Lunch at SPICE Chinese Restaurant, Bridport. The restaurant is opened specially for Charmouth Tai Chi . 35 Tai Chi players some accompanied by other halfs, gathered at Spice where we were, as always, made most welcome, enjoyed a veritable feast of a Chinese buffet and enjoyed each others company to catch up on chat.

Saturday 24th March 2012- All day Workshop with Master Faye Li Yip
Again at Monkton Wyld Court, this was well attended by a total of about 30 students from Charmouth Tai Chi and with visitors from other schools from Cornwall, Hampshire and Bristol area.    A most instructive day with Faye teaching in great detail Ba Duan Jin and Wu Qin Xi - the weather was lovely and we were fortunate to be able to have most of the day out of doors in the sunshire.  For those who wished it, we were supplied with a delicious Monkton Wyld lunch.

Saturday 28th April - Global Day of Tai CHI
From 0945 tai chi players from the South West  gathered on Cathedral Green in Exeter to join the world-wide energy of millions of practitioners working together.  Charmouth Tai Chi, in turn with other groups local to Exeter,  gave a demonstration in the Princes Hay shopping precinct.   About 10 Charmouth members came along and 7 were courageous enough to participate in the demos with the Beijing 24 Forms which was well received.

This event was organised by Angus Clark and it is planned to repeat the event on the last Saturday of April 2013.  SO do pop this date in your diary and we hope there will be many more CTC players there next year.
